GS Chess:
I'm not just a photographer: I'm also a chess coach and a FIDE Master (FIDE Master is an international chess title). GS Chess is my other business - where I coach individuals, as well as schools (both primary and secondary), library classes and corporate groups. The Snow Leopard Trust:
The Snow Leopard Trust is a charity organisation based out of Seattle, in the United States. Their main purpose is to protect snow leopards. They do this primarily through finding sustainable alternatives to grazing in remote snow leopard habitat across several countries. If domestic and sheep and goats eat all the food in an area, the prey animals of the snow leopard (such as ibex, markhor and argali sheep) numbers drop - and with that, so do numbers of snow leopards. By creating and implementing different income streams for people living in these remote communities (including snow leopard tourism), there will be more snow leopard prey animals, more snow leopards and a better eco-system in general. The Red Panda Network:
The Red Panda Network is a conservation organisation dedicated to protecting red pandas through a holistic approach to conservation. Their stance is that animals, people and nature and interconnected and without saving red panda habitat and creating sustainable livelihoods for the people who live alongside them, red pandas themselves cannot be saved. Friends of the Orange Bellied Parrot:
Friends of the OBP is a conservation organisation operating under the umbrella body 'Wildcare Tasmania'. Friends of the OBP is dedicated to the conservation of the orange bellied parrot - a small species of parrot which makes an annual migration between Tasmania and Victoria. The organisation conducts field research studying behaviour and migration patterns of the parrots as well as raising awareness of their plight. I have participated in their programs as a volunteer.
